Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week, 9:30 am - 4:30 pm. 4 weekdays plus Saturdays.
Starting Pay: $9.50 / hour (Premium pay differential for Saturdays)

The primary role of the Donations Associate is to assist customers with donations being dropped off, sort donations for resale, inventory items that can be resold, and assist with preparing items for display on the sales floor. The Donations Associate is also responsible for ensuring the donation areas inside and outside are always organized and clean.

Qualifications

  • Lives a strong Christian lifestyle and is active in a local church

  • Agrees with and can articulate WARM’s mission

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Energetic, self-starter, always looking for ways to improve

  • Strong customer service acumen, friendly and positive

  • 2+ years of retail experience

  • Must be able to perform physical labor and be on your feet most of the day (e.g., lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds)

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Takes donations from the outside drop-off area to the sorting area.

  • Provides donation customers with an in-kind receipt as requested.

  • Sorts donations in the storeroom for resale, recycling, or trash.

  • Ensures pricing is correct.

  • Assists with restocking the sales floor as needed.

  • Assists with loading heavy items for customers (i.e., furniture).

  • Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.

  • Maintains clean and tidy donation drop-off, recycle bins, sorting area, and break room.

  • Works successfully with staff and volunteers to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Other duties as needed.
